Well..down the road, it's possible there is a trade-off of sorts in cost mitigation...processing..sorting...transportation. Given China told the world to buzz off with plastics trafficking..it's just a matter of time before the actual "disposal" of plastics becomes a an expensive proposition. This gives the plastic/oil conversion a leg up on what would be the disposal of plastic.
Yep, the military scenario plays out well...because it's a restricted, disciplined environment. Under the current methods of individual recycling...I think a difficult task to keep a municipal scenario intact. I think you might find like an industrial park...with a similar type of need by a number of companies could work.
Again, success is going to require a comprehensive plan...that includes most everything you mention and then some... but I think requirements and mandates will have a far greater impact going forward...and those are unknown at this point... Guesstimating plastics disposal 5 years from now...impossible...nobody wants to touch it and as the restrictions become tighter and tighter...so does the price to dispose of it increase...as does the value of green alternative....all unknowns..
What PTOI needs to do is secure a couple of these optimum sites and even if they break even...a military installation...might come on board..
need...method...use for end product.... done deal
