I have a friend , a bit older than myself, beloved community guy and baseball coach, enthusiast, past player, and good guy.
When he was on break from college: decades ago , he was involved in really bad car crash. Being a strong physical specimen he survived miraculously. One evening; over a couple of cold libations at the local watering hole, he told me of his experience in the hospital operating room.
Basically it was one of those out of body experience where he saw the doctors and himself from an elevated viewpoint.
