The penalties provided for in the legislation now approved are anything but lenient, even providing for the withdrawal of the driving license.
Among the 18 measures now announced by the French press is the reduction in the maximum permitted speed on the secondary roads from 90 to 80 km / h , as we had already anticipated here . Another requirement is the mandatory installation of an automobile locking system , which does not allow the car to be switched on , in the case of drivers who, having already been caught drunk driving, try to do so again.
