There are some politicians that, very simply, can't talk about guns without lying! I think one of the worst is Little Chuckie Schumer. On a number of occassions, while speaking to friendly audiences in the 90's, I have heard him rant and rave about how a weapon such as the AR-15 has absolutely no purpose whatsoever and how it is a terrible weapon that "sprays" death and destruction.

About 10 to 15 years back I had the pleasure of watching, on CSPAN I think it was, three separate groups of people whose lives were saved because they owned an AR-15 testify before Congress and Little Chuckie. Faced with a group who knew what they were talking about and collectively probably knew all there was to know about an AR-15, all that poor twerp  could do was "express his concerns" about gun violence. I got the impression that not being able to lie was about to kill him during those hearings.
