With today’s technology, the FINRA daily #s should be available right after the close. The same reason why you think a trade should be able to settle the same day. So if illegal activities are going on during the settlement period, the same can be said for the period after market closes and before FINRA releases the daily #s.
If MMs release legitimate daily #s, then there’s no need for them to try to hide their crimes.
