The site is structured for the lucrative execution of stock manipulation via the use of misinformation intended to "steer" the average trader in one direction or another, but usually in the sell or don't buy direction, enabling the whales to slowly accumulate many millions of shares of stock they believe will run hard.
Of all the trashy, valueless stocks they could bash, you'll normally see them focusing on the other end of the spectrum. In other words, they spend most of their time bashing stocks with huge growth potential to help provide a steady flow of cheap shares as weak hands fold.
Some is actually spent on junk stocks with no prospects, only making it more confusing. The junk stocks are often those that they themselves, again using misinformation and timed volume explosions, helped pump to ridiculous highs while slowly unloading previously (and slowly) created positions.
Once their coffers are filled, they then use the same tactic as they do following profit taking on ALL stocks, good or bad. They get into large short positions, then begin dumping remaining long shares as the bashing campaign begins. The volume of long position dumping, which included even more short selling, helps ignite the panic selling enabling the liquidity and the dramatic crash in the pps they need to cover their short positions with cheap shares. When it tanks, they cash in again.
