White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller joined Tucker Carlson on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" to discuss his contentious interview with CNN's Jake Tapper.
President Trump lashed out at Tapper on Twitter after the Sunday morning interview with Miller on CNN's "State of the Union."
During the CNN interview, Tapper accused Miller of refusing to answer his questions and trying to craft his answers to please the president. Miller called Tapper "condescending."
"There’s one viewer you care about right now, and you’re being obsequious, you’re being a factotum in order to please him. I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time," Tapper said.
Carlson noted that Miller reportedly was escorted out of Tapper's studio by security after arguing with the host for a short time after the segment.
He asked if Miller would be escorted out if he were an MS-13 gang member in the country illegally.
Miller quipped that if he were an illegal alien gang member, CNN would quickly shepherd him "to the voting booth."
Like many things CNN says, this story has the most important virtue of all CNN stories - its being not true," Miller said.
He said CNN showed "low journalistic standards" by allowing tape of his apparent post-interview exchange with Tapper to be leaked to other press outlets.
Miller said Trump has a "radical idea" that the federal government should take care of American citizens before catering to illegals.
He also dismissed several policy statements by Democrats regarding why they support unfettered immigration.
