There's another level of pain beyond loneliness for shorts and various entities. Imagine the shame, feelings of impotence, and self-loathing that comes from failure to kill this stock after so many years. So much wasted time, so many wasted lives.
They threw in everything but the kitchen sink trying to sink it, and failed.
Utter failures, and it could cost some their employment.
Others who are too dumb to stop will persist with exaggerated negativity, squirming through the slow pain and burn of watching this go up.
