Happy 2013 TECO board
Hello TECO board. At this point last year TECO was like a spring loaded trap with just ready to pop on the slightest rumor out of Belize. I still remember the January move where at the peak I had enough money on this position alone to buy a house, then it was all downhill from there.
This year TECO is on the other end of the extreme, with the price heavily battered into the lows on both pessimism and flagrant manipulation, but with much improved operational capacity as per TNC, a spate of acquisitions, and headway made south of the border.
I've been very busy with a couple of new personal ventures launched this month but the main reason I've discontinued my price analysis posts for this stock because the only thing that matters will be the victories in the oil field. The bears are way too strong and will continue to game this stock with impunity until Treaty shows that it consistently meets and beats it's oilfield production projections.
We will only know that information on a monthly/quarterly basis, and that's just the way it is. This is an investment, not a trade. I'll be looking to visit Teco's Texas properties this quarter accompanied by some friends and family members who are in engineering and the oil industry and when that happens I'll post what I can share.
I continue to hold and will be taking some of my 2012 gains from my other accounts to grab some more TECO while we are down in these prices. TECO is a multi year investment with a 20-50 fold return, so I accept the fact that there will be double percentage moves to the downside with a chance that I can lose it all. However, I think that there's much greater than a coin flips chance that it realizes the upside so I can wait.
Good luck to all.
