Re FDA: Merck appears to have covered up the serious adverse effect data on its Gardasil vaccine. When people developed chronic fatigue syndrome (a serious and life-threatening condition despite its innocuous-sounding name) shortly after they got the vaccine in the clinical trial, Merck just omitted this from their SAE data, claiming that since they knew the vaccine "couldn't" cause it, it should not be reported, because (circular reasoning) if they knew that their vaccine must be safe, then any bad things happening must not be from the vaccine. Outrageous.

https://slate.com/health-and-science/2017/12/...afety.html

There are various theories that CFS may be caused by a retrovirus, in people who have either more reactive immune systems, or weakened systems (no one yet understands what causes CFS, there are only theories). It isn't a stretch to wonder if the Gardasil vaccine was contaminated with that retrovirus -- it's very difficult to detect retroviruses, especially if you aren't even checking to see if they are present.

Anyway, this shows how a company can manipulate their safety data and get away with it, and how the FDA which claims to be a watchdog lets Big Pharma get away with this kind of thing, just like they continue to approve NutraSweet despite its well-documented correlation with headaches and brain lesions.

And, of course, what makes it even more outrageous is the case I mentioned before, where the FDA refused to approve the ONLY drug that has been shown to help some CFS patients -- Ampligen -- because they didn't like the CEO of Hemispherx, which submitted it for approval.
