Remember a lot of people bought .015-.02, thinking we were Finally getting our “Mojo”. Then it fell hard. They’ve got barely enough time left to: 1) avoid Wash Sale loss restrictions on their taxes;
2) Buy back after 30 days, and yet before (they hope) the Major Deal(s) are announced late Jan/early Feb, thus avoiding starting out the year in a Wash sale situation. Some have to sell ALL their shares to avoid wash sale restrictions on taxes. i suspect taking losses is more attractive this year than others, because the overall market did so well. Some here may even keep themselves in a lower tax bracket by selling all their shares.
It’ll stop soon. Next week, there is only the Tuesday after Christmas, for any transactions to settle before the new year. i think today was Capitulation Day.
I’m excited about Kay’s plans, and i do not think he would be pushing the accelerator on this Block Safe, if they did not already have commitments from government or other large clients. And i’m not surprised this has been kept fairly quiet: how many times do you have to have your lunch stolen before you learn to hide the fact that your mother packed a roast beef sandwich. And brownies.
