My understanding and I'm not expert either is that the sub is wholly owned by Strikeforce Tech Inc.. The sub at a future date could be spun off into its own public ticker.
If that were to happen then it would present a nice opportunity to give shares of the new ticker to SFOR shareholders.
I don't even want to speculate on how the sub would affect a buyout. I would think that the sub definitely makes SFOR more valuable for any potential buyers though.
