Because nothing says rustworthy like having your hand-picked administration members indicted.

Because nothing says popular like having the lowest approval ratings ever recorded.

Because nothing says maturity like making up childish nicknames for politicians and world leaders.

Because nothing says hard-working like spending your days watching TV and playing golf.

Because nothing says well-informed like refusing to hear any facts that might upset you.

Because nothing says selfless like constantly singing your own praises.

Because nothing says good Christian like bragging about grabbing women by the pussy.

Because nothing says dedication to your fellow citizens like raising their taxes and trying to take their healthcare away.

Because nothing says peace-loving like throwing gasoline on fires in NK and the Middle East.

Because nothing says humility like claiming responsibility for the accomplishments of others.

Because nothing says class like mocking the disabled and attacking Gold Star families.

Because nothing says respect for the office like accusing your predecessor of criminal behaviour without a shred of evidence.

Because nothing says dignity like accusing your rival in the last election of being “crooked” – over and over, and over again.

Because nothing says truthfulness like making up “facts” about things that never occurred, and insisting you didn’t make statements that are a matter of public record.

Because nothing says America-loving like labeling minorities as drug-dealers, rapists or terrorists based on their ethnicity or religion.

Because nothing says fit for office like a grossly overweight fast-food addict who has the attention span of a gnat, and the temperament of a two-year-old.

Because nothing says commander-in-chief like equating military service during wartime to the hazardous duty of getting laid.

Because nothing says sound judgment like appointing judges who have zero courtroom experience, and have been deemed incompetent by their peers.

But above all else … because nothing says innocent of wrongdoing like trying to shut down investigations into collusion with our nation’s enemies, obstruction of justice, and you’re your own corruption.

There are people among us who actually believe all of the above. They have abandoned their principles, their humanity, and their common sense in order to swear allegiance to a man who has consistently demonstrated his own ignorance, arrogance, and blatant stupidity.

THIS is what we’re up against – not people who have differing political views, but people who are easily manipulated by a Republican party that continues to enable the destruction of our democracy.
