Dear Shareholders,
We have had a lot of inquiries from shareholders with regards to the recent decision by the FCC to repeal
the Net Neutrality legislation.
We see this as nothing but a very valuable and favorable movement. We do not believe that having the
FCC regulate the internet like a utility was a wise or positive event. A majority of the NanoTech companies
are Internet based providers, with products that rely solely on the internet for delivery of content and
data. We feel that it is important to differentiate data packets that travel over the Internet and are against
any type of regulation that would try disallow the prioritization of packets and data being transmitted.
The architecture of the internet, while having flaws, is very good at routing data, and allowing for different
priorities of data packets to be used. When an email message is being transmitted, you would not want
it to be given the same priority as a packet of data associated with a streaming video or a voice-over-ip
phone call. Being able to differentiate between time sensitive and non-time sensitive data is key in
organization the vast flow of data over the Internet.
The misplaced fear that ISP’s will be able to hold data at a ransom is a fear tactic that was used by those
who supported the government control of the Internet. Fortunately there is a wide variety of ways to get
data to the consumer, and with the ever expanding wireless space, the options are continuing to expand.
By partnering with the largest network providers in the world, the NanoTech companies will always be
able to rely on the fastest, most reliable pipelines to the consumers around the world, and will continue
to always look towards the future to ensure the most reliable and cost effective approach to data delivery.
