My initial impression of your post was that it was "right on the money" but after thinking about it for a while, I think what you propose would lead to an absolute mess.

What I mean is this. Laws are pretty much written so lawyers will be able to suck out the very last nickel in every case and this situation is the perfect example. Although I agree that the hammerhead's family should be justly compensated, things wouldn't end there. Shortly after being served papers the tiger shark would be forced to "lawyer up" and more than likely they would have the tiger shark not just counter suing the hammerhead but a suit would also be brought against the fishermen for entrapment. It's just not fair for fishermen to slow hammerheads down and tempt poor innocent tiger sharks.

And while we're all busy watching and enjoying this "legal circus", a very real horror would be taking place. Yes, the Shademeister and Bhawks would be busy putting their NWO/NutWorldOrder into place.

So with all of this in mind, please don't be offended when I say please don't contact the hammerhead's family.
