I do believe that it's only a matter of time before either:
1) JP steps down / sells his stake
2) Somebody or group accumulates enough shares to vote him out
If I am JP, I try to avoid a rights offering (hence avoid dilution) try to retain 1-2M of his personal shares as PPS will skyrocket with a change of CEO and work a consulting deal that pays him say 75K/yr for 10 yrs. He is just not able to execute the growth strategy and had 9 yrs to think about it
AT say 18 cents per share x 25M shares , he could walk away with perhaps:
- $4.5M in his pocket
- 1.3M shares of GIGL stock which would go UP
- ~$75k/yr "consulting" pkg (maybe extended by 2 yrs if stock breaches 50 cents and then another 2 yrs if it breaches 75 cents and then a 1 time founders fee of $100K if it ever breaches $1.25 !
