Mix of all of that
In the age of algo trading and social media ,stock forums etc many ways to play games is it MM also well could be not directly but thru smaller brokerages being manipulated
I have been on Finra and have read thru their FINES and Alot of ways thieves can and do steal
But mostly get handslaps
But it imo was a coordinated effort to drive it down either to load,short cover etc.. who knows
