I googled how long for 9th Circuit to decide a case. For a non criminal case like ours the mean average from notice of appeal to decision is 18 months. Also indicates it is 9 to 12 months from completion of briefs to decision. Of course if the original judge reverses himself that can be done relatively quickly. The decision against SFOR has to be one of the worst decisions in legal history and that is why he should reverse himself. I do note on google that new court rules for the 9th may expedite things somewhat by electronic filings. Court congestion is the main reason for delays.
