No they don't "have to come out of ancient Greek days & WW-1 to face judgement". They can do the stupid thing and engage in that WW-1 like war of attrition. They will then lose big time if R&G extracts treble damages from them. They could end up like the old Austrian-Hungarian Empire at the end of WW-1, non-existent! It's their choice.
