The money is important to whoever gets it. NanoLogix had no chance of getting it years ago with other BARDA applications and had no chance of getting this one. BARDA wants DNA based technologies, not culture or ELISA. That’s what NanoLogix offers and they have their place. I spoke two years ago with Mr. Barnhizer and asked what had happened with their prior BARDA grant apppications. He shared that their six-hour Anthrax test, which was the fastest available in the face of at least 24 hour tests that existed was rejected because BARDA wanted less than an hour for results. This grant application was done eight years ago, by Battelle to assist NanoLogix, the grant of $10 million went to a company that never delivered the results. He said that the system is rigged.
