Under LAPD Investigation Over 7 New Accusations
< >
The Los Angeles Police Department has opened a new investigation into admitted child rapist Roman Polanski after seven additional accusers have come forward, according to British tabloid the Sun.
After admitting to drugging and raping a 13 year-old girl in 1977, to avoid sentencing, Polanski became a fugitive from American justice. For 40 years now, elite Hollywood has traveled to Europe to work with the child rapist. In 2002, Hollywood awarded Polanski a Best Director Oscar for The Pianist.
Some ten years ago, Hollywood and Europe’s film elite came together to launch a campaign to “Free Polanski,” a public relations stumble the industry has never really recovered from, a debacle that makes more sense now that we know the truth about an industry that appears to be populated only by abusers, their enablers, and their victims.
Over the years, additional accusers have come forward against Polanski and accused him of molesting them as minors. The Sun now claims that on top of those, he “has been accused of sexually abusing a string of women and children.” Seven in all alleging rape and assault.

One accuser, Marianne Barnard, claims Polanski molested her in 1975 “on a beach in Malibu when she was just ten years old.” Five other women are anonymous accusers who posted their claims on a “website set up by women’s rights organisation Real Women Real Stories where victims can share their stories.” The seventh accuser is Mallory Millett, who claims she was 29 years old when Polanski attempted to rape her in 1970.
The Sun claims the LAPD has opened a fresh investigation in the wake of these allegations:
LAPD confirmed that Polanski was being investigated as a suspect in a police report but could not give further details due to victim confidentiality.
“Yes there is an open investigation on Roman Polanski,” a spokesperson said.
“As of right now I can’t confirm if it’s the fifth, sixth or seventh victim coming forward.
“We can’t release any other information because it’s confidential due to the type of crime it is but he is listed as a suspect in a police report and it’s an open investigation.
“Of course anyone that comes forward wanting to make a police report listing him as a suspect – it’s always going to be investigated.”
On top of the rape he confessed to, three others women allege that Polanski abused them as minors, for a total of 11.
