The 101 applies ONLY in California , to the district where Secure Auth does business central California.
Basically means there was a case that was filed and decided that you cant have a patent re abstract internet ideas. Evidently the court felt it was helping to dismiss frivolous patent law suits.
Ropes and Gray already knows the strength of SFORS patent its not frivolous suit, its rock solid based on a process. Nothing has changed. Ropes and Gray are are already to go with this.
.
This is why Secure Auth wanted the case moved to Central California where they do business. IMO
Ropes and Gray was aware of the reason they wanted it moved. Ropes and Gray will obviously appeal and take it as far as it needs to go. They won 3 supreme court cases in 2016. And lost this many 0
This does nothing to effect the status of the other 5 law suits and they will settle anytime..
