We all know that when someone writes a PM or (in at least one case) a public message from the wrong identity, it's pretty conclusive proof that the 2 identities are one and the same. We've all had times when we've hit the REPLY button for a public post when we meant it to be private, and just think how hard it must be when you're having to switch sign-ins and use an anonymizer to change your IP address. No wonder he's done this on several occasions.
A number of us have either received PM's, or saw the posts when scotty replied under the "phteven" name, or vice versa.
Anyone who would do this either has an evil agenda, or is mentally ill. Or both.
The best thing people can do is ignore the troll.
Also, be vigilant. Remember that scottsmith has admitted to at least 5 identities, and though the scottsmith one was banned from this board, there are others that post and PM people.
