That Michael Flynn Is Turning on Trump

Attorneys for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn have reportedly informed President Donald Trump's legal team that they can no longer discuss Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Many on the left have speculated that this means Flynn is cooperating with Mueller's investigators or is negotiating to do so, which they argued could be worrisome for President Donald Trump.
On "Fox & Friends" this morning, Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said he doesn't think this is a big deal.
"His lawyers are very smart. What they're doing is they're holding up Michael Flynn and saying, 'He can be bought or at least rented by either side,'" Dershowitz said. "If the president wants him, he can pardon him. If the president won't pardon him, he'll flip and become a prosecutional witness."
He said Flynn's credibility as a witness, however, is "worthless," because he's been accused of perjury and he's shown the willingness to make a deal with either side.
"He's a bought or rented witness. The only thing he can do is provide documentation or leads to the other side," Dershowitz said. "No good prosecutor would ever put him on the witness stand."
Flynn was facing a Justice Department investigation over his foreign business dealings even before Mueller was appointed as special counsel in May. Mueller has since inherited that investigation.
