OBGYN doctor did no ultrasound until last doctor appointment at 9 months...when she detected a abnormality on physical exam
Defect could have been detected in the 1st trimester with ultrasound...that was the 80's
If you go why back, if a baby didn't look right at birth they let them bleed out...or worse...
