it seems like almost the whole world-especially competitors or would be competitors -are against startups-which cant act like big boys because they dont have the money/influence to do so.
ca 2001 big pharma was spending ca 11k/year on average for every doctor in america to wine and dine doctors to get them to promote/subscribe their products-NNLX cant do that.
Its more important for a small company to avoid the mines/traps out there such as careless spending ,toxic dilution,bad partnership deals due to the high paid lawyers of big pharma who can afford to spend millions on lawyer fees resulting from broken manipulated deals. In such a rat race,avoiding the traps to stay alive to fight another day is a victory in itself.
And yes big companies will play dirty any way they can as you express-such as corporate espionage and blackmail and worse.
