I've read myself they get $$ for a good post or two or if they get replies. These come from historical whistleblower sites that claim they get money to bash. In the case of mmex, we have some serious full time bashers on iHub.

Of course there are some people frustrated like : Peter1308

I'm thinking he expected more when he got in and is disappointed now. So I don't think he qualifies as a basher yet
