Nice Post From Reindeer: I know how expensive a marketing Program can be (Magazines; Radio; TV) but I think Reindeer and his kids have hit the nail on the head--- get the consumers to request our product -- that would push auto manufacturers to to order our product. GOOD READ
I've shared in past posts that I had a long career at a big corp. I was a programmer early in ny career before I started career building rotations in Product Mgt; Marketing; Sales; and, found my niche in Finance and was responsible for $10B annual rev - so, I tend to look at everything from a revenue viewpoint. I like what I see in ONCI - especially, Qtr/Qtr and Year/Year growth. That's why I remain long here with a significant position.
I spent some time with 2 of my children this week and discussed "Dads new investment". One is in Sales and one is in Marketing right now. I told them that Hexagon will have 6 subs but the big revenue driver right now is apps - specifically DD. We agreed that Product Mgt seems to be great with "the best DD app out there" and the ability to easily (I think) make market/customer driven changes. We agreed that Sales base seems to be covered by Steve - and his Rolodex - and, the recently hired/contracted sales force.
Then we discussed Marketing and the Asst CMO said we need a Marketing program. She felt Dubai was a good step in the right direction but we need more - a lot more. I mentioned Fly communications and she liked that but felt we had to get it up and running and expand it to build the Market for our product. We talked about sales building the market is a bit backwards. Right now, we are opening doors via sales calls rather than building the market and have them call us and opening their doors to us.
Simply stated, using DD app as an option for a car, we need customers to ask for a DD app in their next car purchase. That's where the Marketing program comes in. Think about today's car options. Car dealers had to work through a period of selling options that are standard today - because people want them in their new car today. Way back it was power brakes and power steering. More recently it was heated seats and then cooling seats. Now we are in an era of techie type options. Nav; video screens; etc. I have one kid still in school and when I picked out his last car to replace an older model I mentioned leather and sun roof and his primary option was sound system; aux jack and Bluetooth. What I'm trying to say is there is a lot of equipment in cars that used to be options that are standard equipment today.
We need the car buyer's to think that DD apps are a primary option. Since parents and fleet managers are buying a lot of cars we need a Marketing program that convinces the car buyers that DD app is a primary option in their next car - their families lives and businesses financial livelihood need it. If our Marketing program is successful, DD apps will become standard equipment in all future cars. ONCI revenue will soar and shareholders portfolios will grow exponentially.
A successful Marketing program will make sales easier and the dumb Finance guy will just have to count and report the revenue and watch the pps get higher
Go Steve. Go Marketing. Go Sales. Go ONCI. Go ONCI PPS!!
My apologies for the long post but it's the only one I get today. Go ONCI.
