Perhaps I should be more clear. I meant to say the daily short sales % might inadvertently scare away new investors. I didn’t mean to say Alan did it on purpose and I never said he’s a short seller.
4kids thinks naked shorting started four years ago and I don’t think his theory could explain what happened in the beginning. To elaborate, the stock went to ~$5 in December 2014. There wasn’t any partnership or uplist, so were the naked shorters forced to cover? If not, how come they allowed the stock to run to ~$5 if they could naked short as much as they want? One possible explanation - there weren’t any significant naked short positions. Not looking to argue, just a few thoughts.
