(and not pushing OSTK .. but it is worth listening to PB's last CC where this
was discussed) it will prove to be a very viable alternative .. and imo the SEC
knows damn well they have to do something vs nothing .. grandfathering
reg sho (2005) was a total failure .. but this alternative (like IEX is) imo will
prove attractive to those mgmt teams initially blindsided in their belief that
the US Equities are fair and transparent .. and who now *know* better ..
no one could be more of a cynic than i am at this point .. i am thankful a handful
of (what i refer to as OTC Survivors) have outlasted *imo* .. years of systemic
abuse/manipulation and are this close to turning the tables against those who
have illegally manipulated their companies' PPS since they first started trading
for those who haven't listened .. it is worth taking the time .. realize it's a little
rambling for non overstock investors .. but if anyone can get this done with
a now *seemingly cooperative* SEC .. it's one Patrick Byrne ..

Would be interested in your view regarding whether the US exchanges will ever go to a T0 settlement system and a general time frame that you would expect if they indeed are interested in changing the system.
I am a terrible cynic in this regard as a few major powerful financial institutions are making so much money off the "legalized mischief" in this area that they will pay monster bucks to make sure Congress nor the federal oversight agencies will carry out this needed change. Money still talks loudest as those in charge don't care about what is right but rather are more concerned with padding their own pockets.
