no 64/17 Genium INET Commodities – Short Code de
Post# of 301275
As communicated on several previous occasions, the new Order Record Keeping (ORK) fields will become mandatory for all order entries from November 20, 2017.
To ease the transition for Commodities members using Nasdaq’s trading front-end, Trading Workstation (TW), Nasdaq Commodities will be implementing default short code values in the period between November 20 and December 8 .
TW users will have to input their own short codes from December 11 .
In the period between November 20 and January 2 short codes will only be stored for test purpose, while from January 3 , the short codes and their corresponding long codes will be stored according the MiFID II regulatory requirements.
We urge all members to start creating short and long codes as a preparation for the MiFID II go-live date, January 3.
The default short code values will not appear in the order entry window in TW, but will be automatically generated in the back-end. If you wish to apply your own short codes you may do so, and these will override the default values.
Please be aware that the Order Capacity has to be selected. For users who wish to use default values, the Order Capacity selected should be Principal . If you choose to diverge from the default codes, please select the appropriate Order Capacity.
The default short codes will be the following:
- Investment Decision (Invest Dec): 2017
- Execution Decision (Exec Dec): 2018
We would also like to remind TW users that upgrade to version 5.0.0201 this weekend is mandatory.
Please see the Genium INET 5.0.0201 website for a complete guide about Order Record Keeping and further information on the impact and what is being introduced with Genium INET 5.0.0201:
