uBreakiFix Chelsea is the brand’s 19th New York location and third in New York City, joining stores in Downtown Brooklyn and Greenwich Village. uBreakiFix Chelsea is owned by Malik Arif and Harry Arora, who have spent more than a decade in the wireless industry selling Verizon services exclusively at eight locations. They are excited for the opportunity to expand their Chelsea store’s scope and services to include repair services for anything with a power button, regardless of brand.

“When we walked into uBreakiFix for the first time, we instantly fell in love with the business model and knew we had to be a part of it,” said Arif. “uBreakiFix is the premier repair provider in the industry. They have an incredible startup story, fantastic brand partnerships and they always put the customer first. We’re excited to bring uBreakiFix to our friends and neighbors here in Chelsea and we look forward to becoming the go-to resource for all of our community’s device questions and repair needs.”

uBreakiFix was founded in 2009 by millennial duo David Reiff and Justin Wetherill, a 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. The pair later partnered with Eddie Trujillo to transition their Internet-based brand to a brick and mortar tech repair alternative that was quick, affordable and provided a quality customer experience. Since its inception, the company has grown organically without debt, investors or consultants.

uBreakiFix services all brands of electronics, offering phone screen repair, computer repair and more to consumers and businesses alike. To date, the company has completed more than 3.4 million repairs, addressing cracked screens, water damage, software issues, camera issues and most other technical problems.

“Our commitment to our customers is what drives our continual growth, innovation and improvement,” said Wetherill, uBreakiFix CEO and founder. “We’re always looking for ways to better serve the communities we call home. We’re excited for the opportunity to bring reliable repair service and exceptional customer service to Chelsea and the surrounding areas.”
