I was in an espresso shoppe
in Haleiwa Hawaii that featured
a german/swiss antique machine
from 1925 or so.
They had an open poetry night.
I obliged a little bit.
Across the street was a Canadian Pizza shop
serving also 1/2 pitchers of draft beer.
The last bus that side of the island
Oahu came by before 10PM - I was
next stop up the road at Sunset Beach
You went to sleep at night
smelling like the Pacific Ocean
even if you hadn't been in it that day.
The espresso machine looked like this one.
