The validity of the countersuit matters in that it is minimal cost to file a frivolous suit but expensive to litigate one when the outcome is likely not to go your way.
If it was a valid suit then Entrust would have been willing to try to proceed with it. It was not a bluff and would be leverage.
But if it wasn’t very jermaine then they wouldn’t be willnf to move forward.
