1. I have yet to see an analysis of the countersuit by anyone here. Whether or not it provided “leverage” would be directly proportional to the countersuit validity. Since nobody seems to know exactly what the countersuit was then how can anyone gauge its validity?
2. I believe “complicated” refers to more than just calculating lost revenue etc. because that would be SOP for any infringement. Nor would a countersuit make things very complicated unless the countersuit had merit and there were valid contentions that needed to be addressed.
3. If the countersuit was without merit then the “complicated” part is likely something out of left field or involves another case.
4. WTF do I know? Hope any of this is logical and helpful.
