I completely agree with you. OWCP is behaving like a Biotech, both in terms of not hyping what they're doing, but in terms of maintaining a degree of secrecy, rather than announcing what they could, letting investors discover what's happening by finding things like patents filed, and approved.
I'll admit every week or two I take a look over on clinical trials in the hope the company does an update. Clearly they haven't since the trial began, but I keep thinking their way of saying it's completed could be a total update there, but I'm not saying it will happen.
In another biotech, during a Phase 1 trial nothing was announced, but suddenly investors found the trial was updated to Phase 1/2. No announcement was made, but after investors questioned why no PR was issued, they confirmed it in the next quarterly report. My point is, the change in this trial was something they'd have had to be working on for months, or longer, yet nothing was said to investors, but they did make the needed change in the clinical trials database with the trial being done here.
The one thing Biotech investors learn over time is just how private they are, and that nothing happens too quickly. Things we think should happen in days or weeks actually happen in months, and years.
