Interesting. I waited for the mention of rail guns and lasers and I was ready to write it off if they weren't mentioned.
If it's cost effective, Why not? I'm certain that the video is know to the Pentagon and the to the Navy.
I could see it as a bed for ballistic missile defense too. Perhaps supplementing the BM destroyers and cruisers, providing another 'layer' if there are misses from those 'beds' or if there
are simply too many missiles in flight for the other layers to handle
