Naltrexone Implant Treatments Heroin Addicts And Alcoholics Best Friend For Life Says TheRecover.com

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- “TheRecover.com issues the following statement” Today, the heroin or opioid addict has some tremendous relief. The rapidly rising Naltrexone pellet implant is creating a buzz. No more agonizing detox awaits, the results of this procedure are astonishing.

Naltrexone is a prescription drug which is referred to as opioid antagonist. This simply means that it blocks the brain cell receptors from any effects that heroin, opioids or alcohol may have on the brain. To put this in layman’s terms you simply cannot get high or drunk because the brain does not recognize the effects the heroin or alcohol would normally have without the naltrexone. The addicts and alcoholics love this as they now realize that no matter how much they drink or use there would be no effect. So, the pressure to use is off and they now have a fighting chance of staying sober. The great news is it works.

There are very few Naltrexone implant facilities nationwide that have adopted this procedure which is about 15 minutes in length. The patient is literally out of the doctors office quickly and back to a normal life without the drugs or alcohol, providing Instant gratification for the addict. The relief factor is described by one addict who stated, “the pressure is off, no more worries about using.” A recent audit of a major Doctor’s facility in Southern California has some staggering facts that are music the the families, friends and loved ones of the addict or alcoholic. The relapse rate known to the heroin addict is over 90% which is horrendous . To date, with the Naltrexone pellet implant inserted into the patient, the relapse rate is drastically down and staying down. This is some seriously great news for all concerned. A financial side note to the upswing of addicts taking advantage of this procedure is that the insurance companies are loving how the Naltrexone is keeping some people out of rehabs, potentially saving them hundreds of millions of dollars.

A couple of facts the alcoholic or addict will want to know. First off, it is usually required to be off opioids or alcohol for at least 7 days. A consultation with the doctor will evaluate if you are ready for the implant, which is a very small pellet that is placed under your skin beneath the belly button. The procedure is done in the doctor’s office as an outpatient. After the procedure it is a good idea to take it easy, but you are able to take on your normal daily life immediately. The implant itself comes in a few different doses. Depending upon what you choose its effects can last up to one year. The side effects are usually minimal but can include headaches, nausea, diarrhea, cramping, anxiety or nervousness. Most all of the individuals interviewed said they experienced a minimum amount of discomfort, 90% said they will do it again if necessary.

There are some imperative course of actions that must be a part of the recovering addict or alcoholics rode to recovery and ultimate success. The naltrexone pellet implant will most definitely cure the craving and will snuff out any stupid ideas of trying to drink or use. Job well done, however, the addicts work is just about to begin to work on the obsession of the mind. Let’s make sure it is understood, completely clear, that there are two equally important elements in remaining sober. The first is simple, stop using drugs or alcohol and this is where the naltrexone pellet implant plays a key role. This first step is the craving which is now stopped. Now lets address the obsession of the mind. This is where doing the daily work of mind, body and spirit come into play. Going to 12 step meetings with other addicts and alcoholics, seeking therapy through a life coach, psychologist, addictionologist or psychiatrist. Maybe attending church or a means of a spiritual connection, possibly meditation and don’t forget taking good care of you body. Physical training, walking, swimming, anything that will help keep your body in good shape, as we know there was physical damage done with the drug or alcohol abuse. Commonly, this is all referred to as maintenance and a solid program of recovery. It is urged that the addict or alcoholic, to insure the ultimate goal of a happy, joyous and free life, closely follow a program of action for life. Following this recipe with the solid foundation of the naltrexone implant will create a life that once was only a glimmer of hope, but now a reality.
