At an extraordinary general meeting of Skandiabanken ASA on 14 September 2017 the Board of Directors' proposal for an amendment of the Articles of Association to change the bank's name was approved. The amendment entered into force today, 6 November 2017, from which time the bank's name is Sbanken ASA. The new name is registered with the Register of Business Enterprises from today, 6 November 2017.
The companys new website sbanken.no is accessible from today. The new ticker at Oslo Stock Exchange is SBANK.
The change of name relates to the separation from the Swedish Skandia Group on 5 October 2015, where the bank was entitled to use the trademark and domain for banking business, Skandiabanken, in Norway for three years.
