They may have taken some liberties with the magnitude of the relationship but Tabasco is a 100 year old brand and the SMS/Tobasco relationship was long term. It was a good idea and an approach that they learned a lot from. Unfortunately the SMS model worked well with Tobasco as it was a very well known brand whereas HJOE distributors needed significantly more support. HJOE seemed to have learned from it and applied it to current in house model. Shawn is a marketer and will continue to "market" the brand and the company. Marketing always pushes the envelope for emerging brands.
The iLie model is ALL around shorting companies with convetible debt. Founder was nailed by SEC and Feds for it. The company certainly made some mistakes as most new ones do - but the manipulation/lying from the toxic lenders is exponentially worse than any liberties HJOE took on the marketing side.
Long story short - they are moving product with CK, they continue to sign distributors, jerky is moving, and the stock wasnt blown up in the grays.
