I've known people who have had rheumatoid arthritis and that was alway the way things went. Least dangerous drugs first, keep going until an acceptable level of relief was reached. No reason to think that a doctor, given a choice of two drugs of similar efficacy (for example, not implying any knowledge of how Prurisol results will turn out) will do anything but prescribe the one with fewer side effects.
Prurisol ought to be lots cheaper to manufacture, too, so there might be a big price advantage there.
