Yeah, that explains the appeal it has for me. I was a 'Merlot guy' in the 90's......Gallo Hearty Burgundy, a jug of... and a variety of Inglenook wines in the 70's.....and Zinfandel until recently.
Drank entirely too much Irish Mist and Grand Marnier in the 70's too.
Lotta headaches followed by me 'driving the porcelain bus'.
I find the red blends more suitable to my palate now.
