Secure Technology Alliance Industry Councils Announce New Charters to Align with Broadened Mission of Organization

PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J., Oct. 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Secure Technology Alliance Access Control, Identity, and Health and Human Services Councils have redefined their charters to align with the expanded focus of the Alliance. The Secure Technology Alliance (formerly known as the Smart Card Alliance) expanded its charter and activities in March 2017 to include multiple form factors and related hardware and software technologies supporting support the implementation of secure solutions.

“Our industry councils play an important role in the Secure Technology Alliance by creating a place for our members to come together to provide education, best practices and guidance for specific industries,” said Randy Vanderhoof, executive director of the Secure Technology Alliance. “By aligning with the Alliance’s expanded focus, the Access Control, Identity, and Health and Human Services Councils will now engage in activities across a broadened spectrum of security technologies and applications in addition to the smart card.”

“Members looking to provide education and actionable guidance, collaborate with peers, and encourage adoption of secure technologies are invited to participate in any of our industry councils to help propel the industry forward,” Vanderhoof added.

Access Control Council
The Access Control Council charter now focuses on accelerating the widespread acceptance, use, and application of a broader set of secure technologies in various form factors for physical and logical access control.
