Lenexa, KS, Oct. 20, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Digital Ally, Inc (Nasdaq: DGLY) today announced the release of the VuLink Pro, which enhances the existing patented technology by adding more features to provide complete in-vehicle connectivity for body worn cameras, providing law enforcement with a fully integrated audio/video recording of activities and evidence collected in the field. Added features include:
- Mobile data terminal (“MDT”) video review
- Video tagging and notating with embedded VuVault GO® application
- In-Car body camera charging
- Wireless transfer of body-worn video to evidence management software, VuVault®
- Synchronized video playback
The VuLink Pro is compatible with Digital Ally’s most recent in-car cameras, the MicroVu® HD and the DVM-800 HD. When paired with these cameras, the full functionality of VuVault GO is available simultaneously for in-car and body worn videos. Playback, tagging and notations are linked at time of video creation, ensuring total chain of custody, and the ultimate ease of use for officer safety. “[It] provides a truly effortless way to capture an event from the perspective of the vehicle’s video system as well as from the personal perspective of the wearer, regardless of where the job takes the officer,” stated Stanton E. The VuLink Pro takes the benefits of automatic activation and further streamlines an officer’s daily routine by combining officer safety via automatic activation on the front end and VuVault GO for review on the back end. Embedding VuVault GO into this product will allow agencies to review body camera video in the field, without the purchase of additional devices. Also, with wireless uploading and charging the FirstVu HD body camera in the vehicle, Digital Ally create a streamline process, which keeps the officers on the street.
The VuLink Pro enhances the already existing VuLink technology, which is the first and only patented products that enables body cameras and in-car video systems to be automatically or manually activated simultaneously. For example, when a vehicle’s emergency light are activated, the body camera will automatically begin recording simultaneously with the vehicle’s video system, thereby removing any distractions to the officer. Digital Ally’s body camera, FirstVu HD, may also be used with the VuLink products independently of an in-car system. Digital Ally expects to include the VuLink Pro product in the recent supply agreement with VIEVU, LLC, terms of use to be determined.
