$LWLG - I don't mind the silence these days, here'

28g was proof of concept
50g is proof of scalability
100g will be proof of dominance
I think they are pushing full throttle to achieve that, and would guess that more than a few are watching very closely. When (if) that is achieved, on a shoestring budget at that, the industry's roadmaps all get re-drawn for the next decade, using LWLG's technology's "ink".
Mack
Great post Mac!
I too agree that this year, I was thoroughly impressed by the speed at which Lebby and his team demonstrated the scalability of this project.
Let us not forget that at this time last year, investors were waiting for a demonstration of a 2.5Gbps modulator!?!
Today we are waiting for the packaged version of a 28GBPS to be sent out to be tested potential customers, and in the meantime, we have announced to the world, that we have successfully tested 50Gbps modulators in our labs that can be assembled into 400Gbps links.
If anyone had even suggested we could be were we are today, they would have been dismissed for fools!
By presenting in worldwide forums, some of them by invitation only, it gave me the reassurance to not only hold but increase my position in LWLG.
Looking forward to what the next 12 months will deliver...
Good luck to all longs, and thank you to the shorts for the gasoline they are about to throw on this fire.
AR.
mack, you are probably right that they are pushing full throttle for a 100g device.
Yes, the 100g would be proof of dominance.
They had the 50g completed within 3 or 4 months.
I could see them completing the 100g in the same time frame or less.
Not so sure how difficult to scale from 50 to 100.
I just remember Zelibor and Lebby at the ASM saying that once we have a 50g device the potential partners will be coming to us and not the other way around.
A 100g device would be the icing on the cake or pure dominance.
That would show required scalabity for at least the next decade - Moore's Law for photonics.
GATES.
