All of the CEOs in the industry are regularly interviewed by media people and other neutral parties, and it is not uncommon to see, for example, a firm like Boston Biomedical Consulting make a call to one party, usually the selling party, and asking the CEO if he knows of an industry player looking to share resources for a particular product or service. But usually, the two CEOs have enough contacts in common that buyer and seller can find each other.
