I don't believe that smoking marijuana will ever b

I certainly don't know, but I believe the sublingual tablet will have many different compositions so like all the different forms of cannabis that provide different results, users will be able to select what they want from the tablet and get it. Of course we're a long way from that point, it's not clear that the tablet will be available in recreational forms for places where recreational marijuana is, but I see no reason it couldn't be.
I may be wrong, but I believe that a certain composition in the sublingual tablet is what they intend to try in multiple myeloma. I think it's clear that they know the tablet by itself has little or no effect on the disease, but in combination with other therapies it's expected to improve the outcome. Convincing the FDA to test it in this manner may prove to be a trick as the FDA normally wants a product tested as a monotherapy before permitting it to be used in combination.
In reality, I believe the sublingual tablet may have benefit in many forms of cancer, but not in terms of assisting in the cure. I believe that the condition know as cancer cachexia is where the product will star. Cachexia is essentially the uncontrolled loss of weight, and many people with a variety of cancers lose their appetite and virtually starve themselves. I know under chemo treatment myself, I lost a lot of weight on hospital cooking, but you'd be amazed how fast I put the pounds back on with home cooking.
Doctor's clearly know that cannabis has benefits in improving appetite, but their hands are ties when you're in the hospital. They can give artificial products they know aren't as effective, but they could lose accreditation if cannibals were found to be used in the hospital, even in State's where medical marijuana is legal.
