With All do respect. Patents are put into the inventors name as assignee "if" the patent is NOT associated with a "PUBLIC" company. In the case of NNLX's Flatpack patent, the original patent application listed BB as the inventor and NNLX as the "ASSIGNEE". It was later changed to BB as the assignee as well. If NNLX was a "private" company the issue of patent ownership would not be an issue.
The term of "exclusive usage" is determined by the person who is assigning that "exclusive usage" privilege and could change on a whim if desired.
Just my 2 cents and also just my opinion.
