(NASDAQ: SELF ), a real estate investment trust that owns and operates self storage facilities, announced today that the company held its 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, at which the company’s stockholders voted on (1) the election of one Class I Director for a term to expire at the 2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, (2) the company's 2017 Equity Incentive Plan, (3) the amendment and restatement of the company's charter, (4) an increase to the number of authorized shares of the company's common stock in the event that Proposal 3 is not approved, (5) ratifying the appointment of Tait, Weller & Baker LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2017, (6) on an advisory basis, the company's executive compensation, and (7) on an advisory basis, whether executive compensation should be submitted to stockholders for an advisory vote every one, two or three years.
