My plan is also calorie counting. Simple math. While I still restrict high fat proteins while eating reduced carbs, my basal metabolism, as determined by a nutritionist , is 2700. Eat less than 2700 calories per day, lose weight. No excersise required. However, with success comes a lowered metabolism. So any further weight loss requires increased activity. I have back problems so this is about where I will stay, while continuing to improve A1C and cholesterol.
